“Windfall” was the title of an exhibition organized by Bremen and London artists in London in 1988. It was continued in Bremen in 1990 and again a year later in Glasgow. In this way, a lively exchange between several artists from these cities developed. The exhibition at the GAK shows five young artistic positions from this circle of artists from Glasgow and London, who use concrete and conceptual levels of installation, painting, photography and language to provide a commentary on the social, economic situation and artistic identity, based on their experiences in the English and Scottish situation.
