The GFLK Galerie für Landschaftskunst is an artist project space in Hamburg, which Till Krause has been running since the early 1990s together with artist friends and in frequent interdisciplinary collaboration. The GFLK sees itself as a forum for attempts to develop ideas independently and completely out of the respective artistic self-necessity, i.e. in an arbitrary relationship to social parameters as well as to agreements of the art scene, such as exhibitionability, time rhythms, work character. With this attitude, the view of the rooms in which we live also changes. The “self-necessity of ideas” could be an approach or question above the landscape experiments of the GFLK, which Till Krause will report on in the course of the lecture.
