“No matter whether I help the rain back into the clouds, walk with the sea or phone after the sunrise, I am mostly interested in an undisguised experience and marvel at nature and the longing for a deceleration of our world. With the simple means of everyday life I try to track down poetry in the everyday and to broaden the horizon of perception and experience of people, I make suggestions against alienation. The whole thing represents a kind of unpretentious counter-concept to the omnipresent hectic pace of Western life.” – Sebastian Gräfe
In the event Weather is a globalist Sebastian Gräfe takes us on a virtual walk through his world of work and thoughts.
Sebastian Gräfe is represented in the exhibition with the two works Fight the Power (2010) and Das große Missverständnis (2009). In the former, the artist fights a tireless but hopeless street fight against the sea, and in the latter wall object he implements Darwin’s theory of survival of the fittest all too literally.
An event to the exhibition “An einem schönen Morgen des Monats Mai…”.
